Good morning, it's Deborah here with you today! I do hope everyone is enjoying the 6th Birthday Treasure Hunt. I know, it must be a bit of a surprise - this is my second DT inspiration slot this month :) I got the idea for this set of cards from The Flower Challenge where they want us to use the paper piecing technique. If you're anything like me, you have a vast collection of design papers in your stash, along with lots of little bits you saved - just in case! Well, this technique is a great way to use up some of those scraps.
It's a very simple technique - you simply stamp your image on patterned papers and then build up a finished image using all the little bits. Here are a few photos showing how these cards started out:
As you can see I made several cards using this technique. My first card is a CAS floral design:
I used Pure Florals Cosmos on the first card. I stamped the flowers on white card and pink design papers. I used the two flowers as well as the single flower. I carefully cut out the individual pieces, edged them with a black marker to hide the white core and then adhered them to the white card. The flowers on the edge are exactly as they are stamped, but the centre bunch was made by adding a single flower behind the two. I used my Scan'N'Cut to cut out the images. I adhered the flowers in a line, the outside ones are flat to the card and I used dimensional tape for the centre bunch. I finished the front with a simple greeting and some little gems.
I was having such fun with this technique that I made several more cards. My son has just moved house and I need a card for him, so it was the perfect opportunity to get out Home Sweet Home. I used some scraps from a masculine set of design papers. I used the stencil Broken Lines to give a subtle design to the background.
The year is moving on quite quickly and it won't be long before Easter comes along. I used Some Bunny to make my card. It could just as easily have been for a baby, but I need Easter cards. I had such fun making the little bunny out of scraps and I added some sparkle to his feet and belly.
My last two cards are for my Christmas stash. I used Pure Florals Poinsettia - it's such a beautiful flower and layers very easily. Once again, I used my Scan'N'Cut to cut out the image that I stamped on white card, and then layered on the images that I cut out from design paper.
One has a more contemporary look and the other, while still quite CAS, has a more traditional feel. Thank you for stopping by, I do hope that you'll give this simple, but fun technique a try. See you again soon.

A Look Back At 2016!
Hey & Happy Boxing Day!
I do hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day, I think this year has to of been one of the best for us as a family of four :) Seeing the beans faces as they walked into the front room with all the new toys and train set laid out was a picture. Plus, I just loved every minute watching them play together learning their new toys and then pulling daddy down to the floor to help and play. It truly melted my heart.
Here are a couple of photos from Christmas morning, apologies for my bed head!

Josh getting stuck in with all the toys!
Anyway, back to the title of this blog post... A Look Back At 2016! This year has been an amazing year for myself personally, but it has been a fantastic year for Uniko. We have had 5 fabulous releases, with 16 new clear stamps sets lining the Uniko HQ shelves.
I don't know about you, but to me this year has almost passed by in a blur! With that in mind I thought it would be nice now the main seasonal festivities are over and as 2016 draws to a close, to take a look back at Uniko's 2016.
Today, I am looking back at the 2016 February Release. This was Uniko's 4th Birthday celebration and I launched 4 clear stamp sets, Beautiful Blooms III, I Love Tea, Some Bunny and Simply Said. So, I dusted the sets off and got to work with the help of my Christmas present from Santa, the MISTI and made a few new cards to share with you...
First up is a card using Beautiful Blooms III, the perfect set to get my MISTI into action! This set features a lovely modern 4 step layering bloom. I decided to only use 3 of the layers, but with the help of the MISTI it was a breeze and such a quicker process.
I've not had the time to sit and 'play' with my stamps or join in with challenges, so I was inspired to join in on the current CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch for the layout of my card seen HERE and below.
I also got my new and neglected Altenew inks out for this card. The sentiment is from Originally Organic, a clear stamp set I will be looking at later in the week, but the sentiments work perfectly with florals, so I couldn't resit using it and showing you how Uniko clear stamp sets can work together for even more possibilities.
Next I was inspired by THIS photo on Pinterest to use I LOVE Tea clear stamp set and replicate some blue and white fine bone china.
The teacups are stamped in Encore Gold ink and again I used my MISTI for this simple stamped image. I don't know if this happens to you, but when I stamp using metallic inks onto smooth card the image can slide slightly. So using the MISTI prevented this from happening :)
The teacups were decorated using the small Beautiful Blooms III image from the I LOVE Tea clear stamp set and the larger bloom from Beautiful Blooms III. As you can see I love to coordinate clear stamp sets when I am designing them! The sentiment is from Simply Said and as I need a few thank you cards post Christmas that was the reasoning behind my choice.
Lastly, but no means least I inked up Some Bunny clear stamp set. Though this set is oriented towards Spring and Easter, it is also a perfect set for New Baby cards, Children's Birthdays and more.
I used the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card and I opted to make a New Baby Congratulations card. No harm in having one of these on hand for 2017, I know a few people expecting next year.
The bunny is such a fun and cute image, perfect for those who like to colour. But it also suits some paper piecing, for when you are short on time! The congratulations sentiment is another from Simply Said.
So, that's a quick look back at the February 2016 Release, I hope I have given you a little inspiration to dust off these sets if you have them ;) There is a small amount of 3 of the sets in stock on the website and I have planned some restocks to arrive in January.
I hope you will join me again tomorrow, when I will be taking a look back at the 2016 April Release. Until then, thank you for stopping by.
Hugs

Simply Cards & Papercrafts!
Hey!
Sorry I have been MIA over the past few days, though it seems like weeks as time is just not slowing down. I've been hit by the bugs again this past weekend, I think it's been a combination of playgroups with the beans and working all the hours once they are in bed!
March already, how did that happen?! Though it's good as it means Spring here in the UK is only a couple of weeks away - YAY!
You may have seen this photo that I shared around social media towards the end of last week...
I was asked by the lovely Aimes (Editor & Chief of Simply Cards & Papercrafts) if I would design a set of free digital stamps and create some projects. How could I refuse that offer?!
I thought I would share a closer look at the feature in the magazine for those who are unable to purchase the magazine. Also because I have yet to find my creative energy this week :( I'm sure I will at some point as I have some DT stuff to catch up on ;)
Anyway, here is the feature...
You might recognise the bunny from the recently released Some Bunny clear stamp set. I had some more fun posing him in a birthday box and with some birthday balloons ;)
To download your freebie stamps be sure to visit www.papercraftmagazines.com I'd love to see what you create using them :)
Ok, that's all from me tonight, I think another early night is called for if I am going to shift this bug and annoying cough. I'll be back later this week with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by today.

CAS Colours & Sketches #162
Hey!
Welcome back to another fun challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches. This week is sketch week and our host Stef has a fun and easy sketch for you HERE and seen below...
I was in a Spring mood with it being so sunny yesterday in the NE of the UK and decided to give the recently released Some Bunny some inky love...
I can't resist paper piecing the bunny, it is so quick and fun to do. I found a scrap of pink polka dot DP to use.
The colours of my card were inspired by the current Color Throwdown challenge colours seen HERE and below, which made for a perfect pink bunny against a backdrop of die cut light green 'mounds' and some kraft 'ground'!
Ok, that's all from me just now, but I will be sharing more today and also HERE with todays SOTW using this weeks CAS Colours & Sketches sketch too ;)
Thanks for stopping by & I hope to see you over in the challenge gallery HERE.

Bunny in a Teacup!
Hey!
I'm back today with another bunny card and another one that I was planning on sharing during the release...
Yep, bunny in a teacup! Isn't he cute sat in there?
I paper pieced the tea cup from I LOVE Tea with a small left over of Papertrey Ink Bitty Dot DP in Aqua Mist. I then used my craft knife to make a slit for the fussy cut bunny to slide into. I kept bunny simple with just a little Copic marker to his ears, face & tummy. The sentiment is from the new Simply Said clear stamp set.
I'm having so much fun with Some Bunny that I have another card to share with you tomorrow using him and paring him with more previously released Uniko sets :)
Until then, thank you for stopping by today.
Hugs

Bunny with Balloons!
Hey & Happy Monday!
I do hope your week has got off to a good start? We had a dusting of the white stuff outside this morning, which was fun for the beans to run about in for a few minutes before we went to do errands. I'm almost back to full health and I had a little creative time yesterday afternoon while the beans were napping to create todays card...
This was one of the cards I had planned on making for the release, but due to getting poorly it didn't happen, until now. I hope it was worth the wait?!
I have used Some Bunny which is paper pieced, a really fun and easy technique to do with the bunny and paired him with the previously released but recently back in stock Balloon Bash clear stamp set. The sentiment is from Simply Said Birthday.
That's all I have for you here today, but I also have a Stamp Of The Week card HERE using this weeks SOTW, which is Balloon Bash. I'd love you to pop on over and see what I have over there today too :)
Ok, I will be back tomorrow with another bunny card and post. Until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Introducing... Some Bunny
Hey!
I am SO happy you have stopped by today, here at Uniko we are in full swing with the February Release & 4th Birthday Celebrations! In case you have missed some of the FUN there is a giveaway HERE and HERE.
Today is the last of the product introductions, I can't believe that tomorrow is the full reveal & release day! Anyway, today the Uniko Design Team, Amy Gray a Uniko DT Alumni and I have whipped up a few projects using todays set to inspire you and give you an idea of the possibilities it has.
Here is the sneak peek I shared a few days ago...

Here is the sneak peek I shared a few days ago...
I channeled my inner cute to create this clear stamp set, which is based on a cute soft toy bunny that Josh one of my twin boys has a favourite for.
You may have seen my card HERE over on "Less is More", they are currently celebrating their 5th Birthday and Uniko is one of the sponsors for the challenge. I thought I would share it today for those who haven't seen it...
The challenge over at LIM is white on white with a splash of black or metallics. As you can clearly see I chose black. I simply stamped him on white CS and fussy cut him out, I added a tiny heart also from the set to his tummy. The sentiment is from Simply Said and I added a couple more stamped hearts for decoration.
For reference the bunny is a reasonable size, measuring 56 x 66mm approximately. Sorry, just the one card from me today, I have been hit by yet another chesty cold and my creativity seemed to go astray with my energy last night :(
But
now I am passing you over to the fabulous Uniko Design Team and our guest Amy Gray a Uniko DT Alumni to inspire you, please click on the links below to see what they have created and don't forget to leave them some love too ;)
