Anyway, as a couple of the Design Team didn't receive their goodies in time for the countdown and release day festivities, I thought it would be nice to have them be in the limelight and have a release in review week.

May 2018 Release in Review Day 1

Welcome to the May Release in Review Day 1 (a day late).

So I am a little late with my posts due to being ill and being a mummy taking priority. I had all good intentions to be all prepared, scheduled  have cards made, photographed and ready to go and the time (as usual) slipped away from me and illness struck this past weekend too :(

Anyway, as a couple of the Design Team didn't receive their goodies in time for the countdown and release day festivities, I thought it would be nice to have them be in the limelight and have a release in review week.

Today (Monday), we are taking a look at Just Because and Large Background French Script clear stamps.

WOW! I am so inspired by these 2 projects. I love the rainbow of colours on Carols silhouette, simply seamlessly done and perfectly CAS. With Rahmat's card I had to go for a closer look as she has transformed the silhouette image beautifully and with so much detail.

Introducing... Explosion! Collection Designer Dies

Hey!

Welcome to day 7 and the last of the May 2018 Release product introductions. That means tomorrow IS Release Day - Whoohoo!

Anyway, I am super excited about today as the product we are introducing is some NEW matching Designer Dies to previously released and popular Uniko clear stamp sets. As I mentioned yesterday too, I love matching dies, they provide so many more techniques and ways to stretch your stamps.

Being a very small business, the cost of adding new dies to the inventory is huge. They are manufactured in the USA and like most imports there is added costs to receiving these. Anyway, I feel Uniko has grown a little over the past few months and with having a stand at Happy Stampers Festival & Stamp Magic I felt the time was right to add more! I do plan on adding more coordinating and stand alone dies more frequently (fingers crossed) in the near future.

OK, so let's see these dies and the clear stamp sets they match...

Hopefully you can see that I have created this designer die collection in a way that it mainly matched the Explosion! Additions clear stamp set. It does feature a die to match the explosion stamp in the original Explosion! set, but as you will see from one of my samples today, you don't need to use the stamps with the explosions! 

So many fun possibilities with these dies and clear stamp set now ;) And again, one of my favourite cards to make is shaker cards!

So here's one I made to test the dies out as soon as they landed in the studio...

For my shaker card I used the largest of the explosion dies, which coordinates with the halftone explosion from Explosion! Additions. Inside the shaker I added some tiny die cut explosions and lots of sparkly stars from Little Things By Lucy :)

Having the dies to cut out the large BAM! and WOW! make things so much quicker and easy ;) I added some colour enamel stars to compliment the colours of the card and accentuate the explosion.

That's all I have to share here, but there is plenty of inspiration from our Design Team.

The Designer Die Originally Organic Additions Collection contains 7 dies. One to cut out the inside of the heart, which I have used on this card to create the shaker. One to cut the outside of the heart, so this gives you the option to die cut both the inside and out or one or the other! Plus, there are 5 other dies to die cut the tiny flowers and leaf sprigs in the clear stamp set.

 I used some lovely Altenew soft pastel ink colours for my flowers and to stamp the wreath, the shaker mix is from Stampin' Up!. I added a few tiny drops of White Blizzard Nuvo Drops, but they are hard to see in the photo as they are tiny!

Introducing... Flower Power #8

Hey!

Welcome to day 5 of the May 2018 Release product introductions!

Today we are introducing the next clear stamp set in the Flower Power series. It's been an age since I added to this series and when I stumbled upon another floral in my archive of designs it seemed perfect to add to the Flower Powers :)

Whenever I have introduced a new Flower Power I have always made this card design, so I couldn't pass up on another tradition!

This Flower Power clear stamp set contains a lovely geometric style flower in both a solid and an outline. I've used the solid stamp on my card above. The leaves in the set have a nod to Flower Power #6, Beautiful Blooms II and Fun Flowers. 

As with all of the Flower Power stamp sets the set contains a theme of sentiments. This time I have chosen a selection of kindness sentiments.
