Brighter Days

Hey & Happy Sunday!

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend? I've spent the majority of it relaxing, though we did take a leisurely walk out yesterday morning and today I am spending a couple of hours in the studio before dinner to tidy a little and also have a little 'play' with my supplies!

I was looking through Pinterest and I'm back with another pinspired creation...

This is the pin which I was inspired by...

Original Source: I Like to Decorate

As you can see I was inspired by the bright coloured flowers, it's a bit of a dull Spring day here in the North East so this made me happy!

I started out by stamping the stem from Flower Power #1 repeatedly on the white card panel. I then stamped each of the flower power blooms onto a separate piece of white card using the Rock 'n' Roll inking technique, fussy cut each of them out & adhered them using foam adhesive.

The sentiment is from BRIGHT Butterflies and is stamped onto a vellum strip and the whole thing is mounted onto a Melon Mambo card base.

Ok, that's all from me today, I had better do a little bit more tidying as I think next week might get a little busy around here with the April Release on Friday - YAY! Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today :)

Supplies
Card Stock: SU! Melon Mambo, White (Boyes)
Ink: SU! Pumpkin Pie, Lucky Limeade, Tempting Turquoise & Orchid Opulence. PTI Summer Sunrise, Raspberry Fizz & Hawaiian Shores. VersaFine Onyx Black
Stamps: Uniko Studio Flower Power #1, #2 and #3 and BRIGHT Butterflies
Accessories: Foam Adhesive. SU! Vellum

Say it in GOLD

Hey & Happy Weekend!

I've finally found some time & most of all energy to get a little creative in the studio, it's been one of THOSE weeks. Anyway, I am here today with another couple of Pinterest inspired cards, which were both super duper simple thats why I made two!

My first card was inspired by THIS pin...

Yep, a literal take on the pin, but it's cute, don't you think? I used the 'Hello' from All Occasion Sentiments #1 and simply stamped and embossed it in gold. The 9.5 cm square panel is then adhered to a 10.5 cm square base card using foam adhesive.

This next card follows suit and is also a literal take on the pin...

HERE is the pin...

I simply stamped the 'LOVE' from All Occasion Sentiments #5 in gold pigment ink and then once it was dry went over the top with my gold at you Spica pen, which I also used to draw the hashtag. Like the first card the panel is adhered to the base card using foam adhesive.

OK, that's all I have for today, but I do have another card to share with you all tomorrow, so this time I will be back! Thanks for stopping by today & enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

Supplies
Card Stock: SU! Basic Black, White from stash & PTI Raspberry Fizz
Ink: VersaMark, VersaColor Gold
Stamps: Uniko Studio All Occasion Sentiments #1 and #5
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Foam Adhesive & at you Spica Gold Pen

Happy Birthday & a Winner!

Hey & Happy Sunday!

Apologies for my absence over the past few days, but I am finally back & into the groove of some creativity and made a few cards this morning. My first card can be seen HERE on the NEW Uniko Studio Challenge post.

My second card is my next instalment of my Pinterest Inspired creations. Again, it was a pin that immediately sparked creativity and I knew exactly how I was going to use the inspiration!

Here is this weeks pin...

And this is what I created...

A masculine geometric themed birthday card. I liked the colours in the inspiration but decided I would use brighter colours and I am pleased with the result. I'm thinking now that this would look pretty awesome in a rainbow colour effect too!

Again, I have used the January Blog Hop featured set Accent Essentials: Arrows to create dome of elongated triangles. This brings me on nicely to announce the long over due winner of the blog hop. So without further ado random.org chose comment no.130 and in counting the comments in order of the hop the winner is....

LOVE...LOVE....LOVE those distress trees :)

Who left the comment above on Taheerah's blog HERE. Congratulations Joni Nina! Send me an email to beverley@unikostudio.com with your postal address and I will get your prize in the post and email you your gift certificate!

Ok, that's all from me today, it's nearly time for dinner at the In-Laws which I am looking forward to, as we have a lovely surprise for them - more of that another day! I WILL be back tomorrow with more to share, until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

You Are...

Hey!

Many of my friends know that I am easily addicted to things and can get quite obsessed with them! Pinterest is ONE of my many addictions and I fit it into my daily morning routine, I check my emails, check the news, see what the latest is on Facebook, check the weather and then I go to Pinterest to be inspired.

I have pinned lots and lots of things on Pinterest which inspire me, things I like the design or pattern of, the colour combo of and cards that I love and inspire me. Now and then, when I'm stuck for inspiration I will check out the Cards I Love to help me create something and very occasionally I will look at my other boards for inspiration.

I decided yesterday whilst pondering on what to create that I should use my Pinterest pins more, basically putting the time I spend looking at lovely things into action! My aim is to create at least now project a week inspired by something I have pinned that week and share it with you all on a Sunday.

So, lets see what pin I was inspired to create from this week...

The reason I pinned this image, was because of the bold turquoise lettering against the kraft card. It stood out to me and I knew it would be fun to recreate this look with die cut letters. So I looked at my supplies and Uniko Studio stamps and this is what I created...

On this first card I used the 'Awesome' sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #2 which I stamped in black along the bottom edge of a 10 cm square of Crumb Cake CS. I then die cut the 'You Are'  from Hawaiian Shores CS scraps using the Memory Box Typewriter Upper Alphabet Set. After gluing those in place I swiped my SU! Baked Brown Sugar ink pad around the edges and when dry adhered the panel to a SU! Garden Green 12 cm square card base. As it was such a quick creation I decided to make another one...

This time I used the 'Fabulous' sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #3 and mounted the panel onto a Raspberry Fizz 12 cm square card base.

You can follow me on Pinterest by going HERE or you can follow the link on the right hand sidebar. I hope I've inspired you today, even if you are not on Pinterest you can find inspiration like this from all sorts of places, like the supermarket or magazines to name a couple.

That's all from me today, enjoy your day & until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by :)

Butterflies & Flowers

Hey!

Whoohooo for Friday! I hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday, if not hopefully todays cards will brighten your day.

My first card uses a Sizzlets Leaf Die I have for a while now but never used - oops! I made a decision this year that if I have supplies I don't use often or are still brand new, I have sell them. This leaf die is too lovely so I had to get it used!

I used a 1 3/4" circle punch & PTI Limitless Layers die to create the 'flower' which was stamped with the flower trio from BRIGHT Butterflies.

For my next card I paired BRIGHT Butterflies with Pure Florals: Gerbera which go together so well, even if I do say so myself! Haha!

I started out by stamping one of the Gerbera flowers on a soft stone base card in grey ink. I then created a frame by trimming a rectangle out of smokey shadow card & used my ruler & craft knife to cut out a smaller rectangle.

Todays cards feature LOTS of pink, as I was Pinspired! Pinspired is a NEW challenge blog HERE.  I LOVE Pinterest as there is SO much inspiration & ideas over there that when I found this challenge blog that combines Pinterest with the love of paper crafts I had to play along!

They are only onto challenge #3 and below is the current Pinspired picture and you can also join in HERE...

Ok, so that's all from me today. Until tomorrow, thanks for stopping by.
Hugs!
