Uniko Sponsors AAA Cards!

Hey!

I'm a little late to the party, various reasons such as designing new stamps, sorting restocks and looking after crazy beans!

Anyway... Uniko is SUPER DUPER happy to be sponsoring AAA Cards. There is a FABulous celebration and challenge happening HERE as AAA Cards is celebrating their 2nd Birthday.

There are lots and LOTS of prizes and fun to join in on, so be sure to check it out and I hope you will join in the celebration - you'd be silly not to ;)

As it is a celebration and I haven't had much time to be creative card making wise in the studio I squeezed in a little card making this evening...

Tonight I decided to give the recently released Fun Flowers some inky love, using a lovely quartet of bright cheery colours. I recently purchased a pack of the mini Distress Inks in my favourite colour combo - perfect!

I also used the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below for my card. You got to love a sketch to get the old creative mojo a flowing again ;)

The flowers are stamped onto some SU! Whisper White CS starting with the smallest flower. I then fussy cut them out and layered them onto a white card base using DST.

The sentiment is from Strike A Pose! and is adhered to the card, overlapping the flowers using foam adhesive. I added a small amount of Wink Of Stella to various parts of the flowers and a tiny rhinestone to the centre of each for that added sparkle ;)

That's all from me today, it is just about my bedtime after a VERY long day! I do hope to see you in the AAA Cards gallery and most of all having fun :)

Until the next time, thanks for stopping by today.

Countdown to Christmas Day 6

Hey & TGI Friday!

Seriously I really do not know where this week has gone, time is flying by at lightening speed here at Uniko Studio HQ. Can you believe that the December release sneak peeks will begin here on the blog tomorrow?

Anyway, apologies for my tardiness with todays Countdown to Christmas post, I got caught up in the flow of making yesterday that I totally forgot to photograph the cards before writing & sending them out in the mail! I needed a few more of the same design as I had a few pre stamped a envelopes to match left so I whipped up another card to share with you this morning...

This is one of the mail friendly designs I have decided to send out this year. I was in a rush yesterday to get these in the post to my international friends and family as it was one of the last airmail posting dates.

As well as the design being flat it had to be reasonably mass produceable with not too many steps. I also like to make an effort with my Christmas cards and decorate the inside which I have for this card by simply mirroring the design on the front.

I also decorated the envelopes to match. Even though the design is simple and flat sparkle can be added with glitter and spending that little more time with the finishing touches can make it all the more special.

That's all from me today here on the blog, but I will be back again tomorrow with more to share including the first sneak peek! I had best get back to preparing class kits for tomorrow as I am at The Paperlane doing a demo from 10am - 2pm and doing the class from 2pm - 5pm. If your in the area pop in, I'd LOVE to see you & I think there is a couple of spaces left in the class too.

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by :)

My 'Go To' Colours...

Hey!

Today, I'm using my 'go to' colour combination. I use this colour combo if I'm lacking a little mojo. They're like my comfort zone of colour & I always seem to be able to create something when using them! This is what I created using my 'go to' colours...

These cheery colours are perfect for using with BRIGHT Butterflies & using them has brightened up my morning a little! I kept the layout simple & just adhered the butterflies down the centre of their body using double sided tape & then just lifted the wings slightly. This adds depth without the bulk of foam adhesive and makes mailing it cheaper too!

Do you have a 'go to' colour combination or something you 'go to' when your lacking creativity or inspiration?

I hope you all have a lovely day & thank you for stopping by.
Hugs

Holiday Spirit...

Hey!

Well, I'm back on schedule for today with a post - yay! Fingers crossed I'm getting back into the groove. I'm also getting into the Holiday Spirit here in The Studio as I prepare for the November release of some Uniko Studio Christmas products, a few of them are SO versatile you'll be using them all year round and not just at Christmas.

Anyway, Ive a Christmas card to share with you today...

I'm still getting used to my new camera and haven't sat down to study the settings yet so I apologise if these are a bit squiffy!

I used the current Retro Sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card which was a perfect sketch for using Wonderful Washi and Label Love: Thank you combined!

Here's a little close up of some of the detail...

Ok, so that's all from me today, lots to be done today! Thanks for stopping by.
