Introducing... Background Blocks MOD Circle Builder

Happy Thursday.

Welcome to day 3 of the Uniko August 2025 Release product introductions. Today we have another product with a retro vibe.

So today we get to introduce you to Background Blocks MOD Circle Builder. Perfect for an instant focal image, but this will work wonderfully with any of the Bauhaus inspired and Mid Century Modern products. As well as coordinating with the popular Stencil - MOD Background Builder Circles.

Plus it has the same wonderful offset size as Background Blocks MOD Builder has with the Stencil - MOD Background Builder.

Let's see what the Brand Ambassadors have created.

MOD fun, right?

I'm certainly inspired by all the inspiration and like all the products so far this week, I'm super excited to use this more in the coming days and weeks.

See you tomorrow for day 4.

March Meet The Maker - Product Story

 Hello & Happy Monday.

Today is the final day of March Meet The Maker and the final theme is product story. So far I've talked about the Originally Organic Collection, Ink & Flip Stencils & the popular Mid Century Modern Collection.

There are lots of products that have stories, but I thought for this final day I would highlight the Stencil - MOD Background Builder

This stencil was the start of my 'builder' style stencils. The idea being that you can have an instant focal pattern, but that you can also move it around easily to fill a larger space.

I happened upon this 'builder' style from my surface pattern days and learning Adobe Illustrator in that this is a similar format to use to create and seamless pattern. And this was one I had created in my portfolio of designs.

This shows the stencil used as an instant backdrop/focal point for the flower from Flower Power #3, accented with a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks.

This next sample shows how the stencil can be used as an all over pattern. I've accented with elements from the corners of the stencil and a sentiment from Everyday Sentiments.

Lastly for today I thought I would make a new card to share with you.

I went for a little tone on tone ink blending for this card. First ink blended some Oceanside onto the white card panel, but faded it out towards the top.

I then used Peacock from the bottom, through the stencil and then Oceanside towards the top. For my sentiment I used Birthday Sentiments as I still had it out on my desk.

I love this stencil format and it was the spark that gave me the inspiration to go on to design the Stencil - MOD Background Builder Circles and then I expanded the format to design the Stencil - Layering Bauhaus Blocks. I can confirm there will be new designs coming in this format this year!

And that wraps up March Meet The Maker. I hope you have enjoyed the blog series as much as I have and it's given you a little more insight behind the scenes.

Simplicity!

Hey & Happy Weekend!

Have you anything nice planned this weekend? With Christmas just around the corner I am sure many of you will have parties, get togethers, shopping trips & all sorts planned. I'd love to hear about what your all up to!

I'm having a cozy weekend at home, a little crafting in the studio is planned as I really must make some Christmas cards to send to people. The majority that I have made so far have been left as samples in The Paperlane!

I have kept things simple on this non-traditional Christmas card to share with you today...

I used the current CAS(E) this Sketch! seen HERE and below for the layout of my card and whilst exploring blog land earlier in the week I came across this new to me challenge blog called Keep it simple! Currently they have a colour challenge HERE and seen below and I just love those colours. I've not used all the hues on the inspiration photo just 2 of my favourites!

I've used the solid flower from Flower Power #1 as a modern poinsettia adding the trio of dots from Label Love: Christmas and a sentiment also from the same set. I added some shimmer to the flowers with a clear Spica pen, it's hard to see from the photos but it adds a subtle shimmer in real life.

That's all from me today, I hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you are up to & thank you for stopping by :)
