Stencil Sunday BA Inspiration - One design Three stencils

Bonjour !

Izzy here with a Stencil Sunday for my Uniko Brand Ambassador inspiration. As my dear teamy Steph was mentioning it in her last Brand Ambassador Inspiration post, Christmas isn't all that far and I then realised that I don't have a lot of Christmas cards in my stash !

If my mojo is very low at the moment, Steph, with her gorgeous Christmas cards made me want to play with my Uniko stencils. So I took off my stash my favourite Uniko's stencil when it's about Christmas and I made this first card.

I love the In the Forest stencil, since it has been released, I have used it every year for my greeting cards. Here I used it directly on the double white card and I brushed two shades of green and a bit of black. The result was nice but I wanted even more firs. So I turned the stencil and I brushed another layer of the same inks.

On a piece of white card stock I stamped Santa from the Jolly Christmas set, I coloured it with coloured pencils and I fussy cut it. I die cut a square of Vellum paper on which I stamped and I black heat embossed the sentiment coming from the Background Builders Christmas 2018.

To finish my card I foam mounted Santa on the Vellum. I turn the Vellum and I put squares of foam tapes behind before adhering it on the card base.

As I loved how we can see through the lovely design made with the stencilling, I kept this design for my two other cards.

For this second card, I used the Winter Foliage stencil that Bev recently used for her beautiful card (see HERE). With a small brush, I applied the different colours.

On the Vellum, I stamped and I gold heat embossed the sentiment coming from the Christmas Wishes set. I stamped the foliage from the Winter Foliage set and I die cut each piece with the matching dies.

I assembled the card in the same way as the previous one.

For this last card I brushed non-traditional colours through the Let is Snow stencil to make my background.

After looking for what I could put on the Vellum, I tried these little trees from the Background Blocks Scandinavian Christmas set.

I coloured them with Promakers, I fussy cut them and I foam mounted them on the square of Vellum on which I previously stamped and black heat embossed the sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments set.

To finish my card and to make these little trees even brighter I put some Stickles on them.

Well, that's all the Jolly, Bright and Merry I have to share with you today. Have a lovely Sunday and thank you so much for stopping by.

Countdown to Christmas Day 18 - All Wrapped Up!

 Hey!

Still playing catch up, haha!

Yesterday, Friday was a better day stress level wise, but it was a busy one. The last day of school for The Beans, so it was a day of 'get as many jobs done as possible' kind of day! I tell you something, those 6 hours they're at school flies by.

My main task was to get the final Christmas gifts wrapped up & Christmas cards written and in the mail to ensure they will arrive before Christmas Day.

Normally I don't make much of a fuss about wrapping paper selection or gift tags, but this year I have put a little more thought into it. This year I have 2 categories, gifts wrapped from Santa and gifts wrapped from mummy and daddy!

First up is the wrapping & tag design for the gifts from Santa!

This year I have gone for the classic brown paper wrapping. I love the simplicity of brown paper wrapping and it gives you endless options as to what you choose to embellish with. As you can see I have chosen red & white gingham ribbon to tie the package up.

And it only seemed fitting to choose the Santa from the Jolly Santa clear stamp set for my tags. As I have a few tags to make for the gifts from Santa, I have kept the design simple and fairly easily mass produceable. I've coloured with Copic Markers and added glitter to his hat and coat trim.

Next is the wrapping & tag for gifts from mummy & daddy and used for other members of the family too. These will be placed under the tree before Christmas Eve.

My wrap choice was simply a roll I had leftover from last year! For the tag I decided to use the Christmas tree from Jolly Santa as I often neglect this stamp. Again with a few tags to make I have kept the design nice and simple.

I've still some wrapping to do for both categories and have boxes stacked in my studio with everything inside waiting! Looks like hubby and I have a few late nights ahead as we like to build some of the gifts from Santa so they are ready to be played with and we don't have the stress of impatient Beans waiting Christmas morning. This year it is Lego again with the final additions to their Super Mario Lego and now Minecraft.

How about you? Are you all wrapped up for Christmas? Do you wrap with a theme or colour scheme? I'd love to know :)

I'll be back later this evening with todays Countdown to Christmas and then I am all caught up!

Thanks for sticking with me, Crafty Hugs Bev x

Re-Introducing... Background Builders: Christmas AND Jolly Christmas

Hey!

Welcome to the first day of the October 2018 Release product introductions.

This is the fun part, you now get to see all the sneak peeks in action. The Design Team have worked their socks off and created an abundance of inspiration to share with you over the coming days :)

Today we are re-introducing Background Builders: Christmas AND Jolly Christmas clear stamp sets. These two clear stamp sets were first introduced WAY back in October 2013 HERE and HERE. You can also find more 'old' inspiration using the clear stamps HERE and HERE on Pinterest.

How about a fresh look at what these stamp sets offer in their creativity potential...

First up a colourful card using 6 out of the 8 building strips from Background Builders: Christmas. I simply repeat stamped the strips on white card to create a pattern and then die cut stitched squares to create a quilt style design. The sentiment is from Simply Said Christmas.

There are a few fun features to this building set and one of my faves is the two step stamping holly strip :) I also LOVE adding glitter to the outline tree centres!

Next up we have Jolly Christmas and I have used my favourite image from the clear stamp set for both these cards...

The card on the left I shared HERE for my CAS Colours & Sketches DT card, so you can find all the details about it there.

For the card on the right I created a background using Uniko Stencil Scattered Polka Hexagons and sparkly paste. I coloured and fussy cut Jolly Santa out applying glitter to the brim of his hat and the cuffs on his coat. The sentiment is from Most Wonderful.

As usual my AWESOME Design Team have created projects to share with you all too. Be sure to hop along, commenting along the way. You never know, I might just pick some random comments to WIN some prizes this release ;)

WOW! That was an inspirational hop, so many new ideas of how to use these re-released clear stamp sets. I hope you enjoyed the hop & will come back tomorrow for the next product introductions.

CAS Colours & Sketches #295 - Sketch & DT Call

Hey!

This month at CAS Colours & Sketches we have another multiple hostess month. This week is my turn to be hostess and I have this fun sketch seen HERE and below to inspire your clean & simple card making...

AND...
CC&S are looking for some new members
to add to our Design Team!

Our blog is dedicated to creating greeting cards in the Clean and Simple style of crafting, alternating between colour challenges and sketch challenges. Design Team responsibilities include designing cards for our challenges and sharing them on your own blog, commenting on challenge entries and voting for our Weekly Winners each week, and acting as our host and creating challenge ideas for at least one month during the year.

If you would like to be considered for a position on our team, you must participate in last week's colour challenge and this week's sketch challenge so that we can see your work in both types of challenges. Please add the letters "DT" after your name when you link your cards for the two challenges, and make sure that your cards follow our Challenge Rules. Applicants will be contacted during the month of November.  Our new members will join us as our Guest Designers in December and start on the team full-time in January 2019.

Anyway, I hope you join in on this weeks challenge & the DT call, but here is my inspiration using this weeks sketch...

This little guy, Jolly Christmas is making a come back into the Uniko clear stamp inventory. Myself and the Uniko DT will be formally introducing him later this week, along with more Christmas / Winter themed products :)

Anyway, he was perfect for this weeks sketch, combined with a HO HO HO background strip from another of the NEW Uniko clear stamps being introduced later this week ;)

I've used the Poppy Parade Stampin' Up! marker to colour Jolly Christmas in and added glitter to the brim  & bobble of his hat and the cuffs of his coat. I also coloured the tiny circles inside the HO HO HO strips with the same colour. Super simple and pretty quick to create!

That's all from me today, I hope thatI have inspired you to join in on the challenge?! If you need a little more inspiration, pop on over HERE to see what the CC&S Design Team have created.

Thanks for stopping by!

CAS Colours & Sketches Guest Designer

Hey & Happy Thanksgiving to ALL my friends in the USA & those who celebrate!

I'm back this afternoon with my last Guest Designer card & post for CAS Colours & Sketches, I'mve had so much fun in the studio creating for the challengesand the colours & sketches for November are certainly 'challenging' me to step outside of my comfort zone!

Anyway, this week is sketch week & this super CAS sketch had me stumped for a while but then I had an 'Ah Ha' moment. You can see this weeks sketch & challenge HERE and below...

And this is the result of my 'Ah Ha' moment...

I have been slowly sorting through some old stash that has been stored away in the garage since we moved in February and I came across this cute little Santa that I bought a long long time ago from the Ink Pad in NYC.

He just so happens to fit perfectly inside the film strip frame from Strike A Pose! and so that is what happened! In the other film strip I used a sentiment from the now retired Jolly Christmas clear stamp set.

As you can see I embossed both the film strip frames with stardust embossing powder, fussy cut them out & adhered them to the card using foam adhesive. With all the detail to the centre of the card I added a little corner detail to the white panel before adhering it to my white card base.

Ok, that's all from me just now, but be sure to head on over to the CAS Colours & Sketches blog HERE to see the Design Team's fabulous samples & I hope to see you in the gallery!

Thanks for stopping by today!

TIME OUT Challenge - Inspired By Words

Hey!

YAY, I finally found a spare few minutes to be creative and make a card for the current challenge over at TIME OUT Challenges. I don't know about you, but this time of year is crazy busy and fitting in Christmas preparations with two little ones I need even more hours in a day!

Anyway, it's challenge #21 over at TIME OUT Challenges, the last for 2014 and we are back to being inspired by words, the phrase for this fortnights challenge is...

Christmas is love with all the trimmings

What do these words inspire you to create? I was inspired by the words music and love, which resulted in this card...

I was inspired by the words Christmas & trimmings and decided to use the recently release Background Builders: Vines Winter Additions to create a bough of holly. I added a little bit of Wink of Stella to the holly leaves (Thank you Sarah & sorry I am naughty & didn't wait to open my gift on Christmas Day!) and the sentiment is from Jolly Christmas.

As I had a little time to 'play' and also not used a challenge for sometime I decided to use the current CAE(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below.

This fortnight we have a lovely guest designer joining us, Shirley, be sure to stop by Shirley's blog HERE to see how she was inspired by the photo and of course the FABulous TIME OUT Challenges Design Team...

For all the info and to link up your challenge be sure to stop by the TIME OUT Challenges blog. I look forward to seeing your creations :) I'll be back again later in the week with more to share & until then, thank you for stopping by today.
