Pure Florals Inspiration with Uniko Alumni Brand Ambassador Rahmat Gouse

Happy Monday.

I hope you are enjoying all the festivities and inspiration so far, and I am delighted to be starting the week off with some Alumni Brand Ambassador inspiration from the one and only Rahmat Gouse.

Rahmat joined Uniko in September 2016 having been a avid follower, participant in Uniko challenges and customer. Rahmat soon fell in love with the Pure Florals collection and worked her beautiful colouring skills with the florals.

So I am delighted to share some more stunning cards Rahmat coloured and made especially for today...

I love Rahmat's colouring, and fussy cutting, and creative talent brings these florals to life. Be sure to follow Rahmat on Instagram HERE if you use that social media platform.

Floral Friday - MOD Pure Florals Rose 🌹

Happy Floral Friday.

This week Pure Florals Rose is featured on The Card Of The Week and I've had this idea all week to combine the rose stamps with the Stencil - MOD Background Builder. So that's what I did...

It's been a while since I've used paste of any kind through a stencil, so I decided to reach for my favourite Moonstone Glimmer paste. I just love the sparkle of this stuff and it's also super smooth applying through stencils.

While the paste was drying, I set to stamping the smaller of the full roses. I started with the solid rose, inking with Sorbet and then using a sponge to apply Honeysuckle to areas. Once I was happy I overlayed the line rose to stamp the outline in Honeysuckle as well.

but

For the leaves I stamped them in Evergreen ink and then created a negative mask, which was quite time consuming, but worth it for the inking with shades of Parsley & Sprout ink! To finish I chose a simple sentiment from Simply Said Blocks and a few Sorbet enamel dots.

Don't forget that the Pure Florals Rose clear stamp set is 15% off until Monday.

Brand Ambassador Birthday Inspiration

Good morning everyone Julie here. We are well into our birthday celebrations here at Uniko. The Brand Ambassadors have all been sharing some birthday inspiration all week and today it's my turn to share some too. I've gone with a pretty, feminine birthday card using Pure Florals - Rose.

This card uses the small rose and leaves from Pure Florals - Rose and some DP from my stash. I decided to use watercolour for this design, stamping in black ink onto MM paper before heat embossing with clear EP. The raised embossing creates little cells for the colour to sit in and is much quicker and easier if you aren't that confident with a paint brush.

I could have got my watercolours out but instead decided to use some Altenew inks that I smooshed onto and acrylic block, then used as watercolours. Adding a thin layer of water to each petal in turn before adding colour allows the ink to spread and not leave harsh edges to the colour. I wasn't too bothered about completely filling in each petal as the white left adds life to the rose, I think. Once dry, I fussy cut the flower and the two leaf sprigs.

The blue dotted DP is some NitWits paper which I glued onto a DL note card, then added the frame which was hanging around from another project. In another card here with the same layout, I did use the BB Dots stamp to create my own background which gives you another option. The leaves were glued flat but I popped up the rose on some foam pads before adding the simple stamped sentiment.

One more thing before I go, don't forget Bev's birthday present to you. The discount code 'birthday12' is valid for the whole month of February 2024 and can be used on any order placed, even if you place multiple orders during the month!
Hope you are enjoying the birthday celebrations here at Uniko and there'll be some more birthday inspiration tomorrow, so for now happy crafting!

Two for Tuesday, BA Inspiration

Good afternoon, Julie here with two cards on Tuesday!

I was inspired by the sketch over at The Paper Players to create two cards using the same sketch, colours but different themes.

Here are the two I came up with.

Here's a closer look at the first card.

I love a sketch, they are a great way to get inspired when your mojo is not quite working as it should!
For this I started by stamping the small outline rose and two of the leaflets in Versamark and embossing with gold EP. Using some Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, and Pealed Paint DI smooshed onto my craft mat, I water coloured before fussy cutting out. A little shadow was added using one of my Zig watercolour markers.

The central strip was stamped using a selection of Simply Said sentiments in Altenew Evening Gray on a strip of paper, before adding to an A6 base card. A piece of textured white card from my stash was mounted onto some gold card and the Floral Vines sentiment was added and embossed with the same gold EP. The rose spray was then added to the top panel and attached over the central strip.

My second card uses the poinsettia from Season of Beauty, Christmas Sentiments and the Winter Foliage stencil.

The central panel was a leftover from an other project yet to see the light of day and perfect for this card. After stencilling over kraft with Unicorn white ink, I cleaned the stencil and then when the white ink was dry, I inked again with DI, love the white shadow you get with this technique.

The poinsettia was stamped with Versamark then embossed with gold EP, bracts and flower center were then added. Using the same water colour technique and colours as the first, I then fussy cut it out when dry.
This time I used a plain white panel for my sentiment, adding the fussy cut image in the left hand corner before adding the whole over the central band.

Two cards using the same sketch, colours but different looks. I think it's a layout that will come in handy again as I think it's very versatile.

So that's it from me for the moment, hope I've inspired you to create something for yourself along the same lines.
Until next time, keep safe and keep crafting!

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Using Pure Florals Rose

  Hello!

It's Jane here today sharing a birthday card I created using Pure Florals Rose as a focal point on top of a inked background diamond.

I started by creating a stencil from paper using a square die to create the aperture. I then placed this over the card top and inked through with two shades of distress oxide ink - kitsch flamingo & festive berries.

Before removing the stencil I used the Background Blocks Solid Wonky Stripes stamp placed to one side and stamped it using nocturne Versafine Clair ink.

Next I stamped the smaller outline rose from Pure Florals Rose and cut it out by hand. I popped it up onto foam pads and then attached it on top of the inky diamond. I really love the look of Bev's florals without colour, I think it really showcases the fine detail.

The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks and to finish it all off I matted the whole thing onto a slightly larger card base.

Thanks you so much for looking today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Jane

12 Days of Christmas Giveaways - Day 2

Happy Tuesday!

Welcome back to day 2 of the 12 Days of Christmas, Giveaways.

If you missed day 1 and you're wondering what this is all about, be sure to check out all the details HERE

So let's get to my card today...

As you can see, it's not all about Christmas over the next 12 days. Today is all about the florals. So much time has passed since I inked up this beauty, Pure Florals Rose

This set is perfect for Valentines, Anniversary, Weddings and more. Today I went for a general love themed card. I used a heart mask and stamped the Background Block Horizontal Stripes to stamp inside. I wanted the heart to be a little more defined, so I drew round the inside of the mask with a fine liner.

The Pure Florals Rose clear stamp set has a two step stamp option which I have used on my card today. I used the smaller full bloom. It's hard to see in the photos, but I have applied some darker red shading to the middle of the rose.

So today's giveaway* is...

To be in the chance of winning simply leave a comment on this post and or any of the social media platforms I will be sharing the giveaway!

Introducing... Stencil Pure Florals Rose

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I'm over the moon to be adding these NEW Uniko Stencils to the growing collection. If you missed the peeks and news about the release/s I shared yesterday, be sure to catch up HERE.

Let me introduce you to the next in the Pure Florals collection, Stencil Pure Florals Rose...

So lets see this beauty in action, from what I have seen from the Brand Ambassadors this little blog hop will leave you feeling super inspired!

WOW!

What a wonderful hop, I sure hope you enjoyed it? This stencil along with the others being introduced over the next couple of days will be available for purchase HERE on the website Sunday 20th June at 9am BST.

June 2021 Stencil Release Sneak Peeks

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today is a fun and exciting day at Uniko as I get to show you some sneak peeks at some NEW Uniko Stencils that will be joining the growing collection. There are no clear stamps being released this month, BUT you won't have long to wait as there is another release coming in July!

Anyway, lets get to these sneak peeks...

First up we have the next addition to the Pure Florals Stencils. A few people guessed right with the flower when I shared a peek a while back on my Instagram stories! I'm excited to be building this series in stencil format as I feel it breathes fresh inky life to the stamp sets.

Next up I couldn't resist a new geometric design...

You know how I love a good geometric for masculine cards! Plus they always pair nicely with florals too. So many fun options with this new stencil.

Lastly for this mini stencil release I have bundled these last two peeks together, as that is how they will be sold as a bundle purchase...

You might recognise this too from a popular clear stamp set. I really don't know why it has taken me so long to bring this combination to the stencil range! I have had SO much fun playing with this combination and pairing the with the stamps ;)

Be sure to pop by tomorrow as myself and my awesome Brand Ambassadors start the introductions. Oh, the prettiness and inspiration over the next few days is amazing!

All will be available for purchase HERE on the website Sunday 20th June at 9am BST.

Watercolored Roses on black cardstock - Brand Ambassador Inspiration

Hello friends, Rahmat here with some inspiration today!

I have used the Pure Florals Rose set here.

I have stamped the roses on black card stock using white pigment ink and watercolored these using Gouache paints. After coloring I simply added the front to a black base.

I used Perfect pearls to add the sentiment, and used foam adhesive to add. A few jewels to finish off this simple card.

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate your kind feedback. Have a great day!
