Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Background Builders: Seeing Stars

 Hi everyone,

Steph here with another Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration post and today I am using the Background Builders: Seeing Stars stamp set.

It’s been a while since I inked this lovely set up and today I’ve made three completely different cards to show just how versatile these Background Builders sets are.

My first card is one for the children and a pocket shaker card. I’ve used a combination of large and small stars to create a background which I have given a watercolour wash and coloured with alcohol markers. I secured the acetate on three sides at the back of the stamped panel before adding the sequins and beads. I then closed off the fourth side and attached to the card blank using foam tape. All sentiments used on these cards are from the Uniko Anniversaire Arts Decoratifs stamp set.

With my next card I have tried to create the look of a parcel by using the long star stamps in a crisscross and adding the large stamped stars to mimic a bow or topper. Finally I have added a tag with the sentiment.

For my last card I kept the design simple but added Wow! Fab Foil for a touch of luxury. I think the teal looks great against the dark grey card.

Hopefully I’ve given you some ideas to go off and ink up a Background Builders stamp of your own. There are a number of shapes available now the range so the possibilities are endless.

Much love
Steph x

Introducing... Background Blocks Solid Wonky Stripes and Background Builders Delightful Diamonds

Hello & Happy Friday!

Welcome to Day 2 of the 9th Birthday February 2021 Release product introductions. If you missed any of the sneak peeks, you can catch up HEREHERE and HERE. AND yesterday I kicked things off with a highly requested stencil introduction, Uniko Stencil Pure Florals Gerbera. Be sure to catch up HERE.

Today I am introducing two of the new clear stamp sets, Background Blocks Solid Wonky Stripes and Background Builders Delightful Diamonds.

So lets have a look at these in action...

First up is Background Builders: Delightful Diamonds. Like all of the previous geometric Background Builder clear stamp sets I have released this set features a selection of long building stamps and a variety of smaller stamps.

For this first card I was heavily inspired by a recent Mid Century Modern pattern I had seen and that used these vibrant and cheerful colours.

I would have not necessarily of added the lime green & orange into the mix, but I really love this combination. I combined the 'burst' stamp from Mid Century Modern Florals into the mix, along with a sentiment from another new set being introduced tomorrow.

Next, I wanted to use one of the longer building stamps from the set to create this fun border along the edge of my card. I decided to continue with some of the same colours.

I stamped the solid diamond pattern twice along the edge in lime green and it was easy to do it by eye, so I didn't use my stamping platform. I then used the grunge style diamond in a slightly darker shade of green to add some detail over the top in a couple of places.

This time I paired Balloon Bash with the diamonds and added the same grunge detail to the fussy cut balloon. Loving this new sentiment and I can see myself using it a lot!

Next, I decided to get inky with Background Blocks Solid Wonky Stripes. Like with all the previous Background Block stamps, this is a 6.5 x 9.5 cm block of pattern and it is super quick to make cards with!

I almost always use my stamping tool when using Background Block stamps, especially those with more solid areas. For this first card I selected bright and cheerful colours to stamp the block and it is such a happy result.

I love getting new stamps to play with and I love even more to look through my stash to see what to use with them. As you can see I have used the large butterfly from English Country Garden Butterflies. It was lovely to give some fresh inky love to this stamp set!

Again, I have snuck in a peek at another of the new sentiments being introduced tomorrow! Another of which I can see getting a lot of inky love.

For my last card today I decided to create a fresh Spring green card. I used a couple of green inks and varied where I applied the ink when repeatedly stamping it to get a nice coverage on my card.

I've then added the same sentiment and this time gave some fresh inky love to one of the leaves from Natures Treasures II.

That's all from me today, I will be sharing more of these sets on Sunday, RELEASE DAY! Until then, I'd love to know what your thoughts are regarding these sets and how you might use them! I might even select a random comment to win a prize.

Don't forget, there is still time to join in on the Birthday Linky Party HERE and also enter to WIN the HUGE Prize HERE!

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by.

Thanks...

Hey!

Just popping by to share a quick 'Thanks' card with you all...

I was inspired by the current CASology Challenge HERE which is to make a card using the cue word 'Thanks'! I decided to pull out my favourite Background Builders: Lattice stamp and some scraps of Modern Lattice Digital Paper that I had printed. The sentiment is from Label Love: Thank you.

Sorry for the lack of posts the last few days, I'll be back in the swing of things here on the blog as the Sneak Peeks will be starting on Monday leading up to release day on the 24th!

Thanks for stopping by.

Autumn Neutrals

Hey!

Autumn is definitely in full swing here in the UK, the weather so far this week has kept me in The Studio working & not wanting to go outside! Anyway, I have an Autumnal masculine birthday card to share with you...

I was inspired not only by the weather to make this card but also by the current Less is More Challenge HERE, which is Autumn!

I decided to keep my card to Autumn Neutrals as I knew I wanted to used Uniko Studio Background Builders Lattice stamps to create a background and if I started adding a lot of colour it would have got a little busy and not so CAS.

I used another Memory Box Die I have had for a while but haven't seem to have used! I think I need to come up with a system of making sure I use stash instead of stashing it! Lol!

That's all from me today, I hope your all having a good week so far? We're half way to the weekend and halfway closer to the next Uniko Studio Super FREE Saturday! Until tomorrow, thanks for stopping by.

Celebrate!

Hey!

Yesterday was a FABulous day here at Uniko Studio as I got to introduce my newest DT and Digital DT members :) If you missed it you can catch up on the news HERE. I also had a wonderful day getting inky and making lots of projects to share with you all over the next few days.

As I was in a celebratory mood yesterday the card I'm sharing with you reflects just how I was feeling...

I started off with a colour combination which I found on a new to me challenge blog HERE called Just Us Girls. Their current challenge is this colour combo seen HERE and below...

I kept my card neutral using the white & grey with just a splash of each of the 3 colours. I combined 3 Uniko Studio Clear Stamp sets on this card, Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time, Background Builders - Lattice and FONTiments - Birthday.

Instead of fussy cutting out the doilies I used a 1 3/4" circle punch for the larger doily and a 1" circle punch for the smaller doily...

That's all from me today, I'm spending a bit more inky time in The Studio this morning before dinner and I've a few orders to pick and pack for posting on Monday so I best get to it if I'm going to get done what I intend to.

I hope you all have a lovely day, thanks for stopping by.

Lattice Love

Hey!

Happy Weekend! Have you any inky plans this weekend? I hope to get a little inky and spend some time in the studio making a few NEW projects.

I'm back today however with the next instalment in the previously released product focus and my focus today is Background Builders Lattice...

This is a FAB building set which uses the trendy lattice/quatrefoil image - yum! So how about a few NEW projects using this set...

Keeping it Clean & Simple for this minty fresh beauty for the Moxie FAB World Minty Fresh Challenge HERE and also the Addicted To Stamps CAS Challenge HERE

I started out by masking off 2cm at the top and bottom of the card base I stamped one of the Background Builder Lattice stamps in Fresh Snow ink. I then took a piece of white card stock stamped and embossed another of the Lattice designs using fine detail white embossing powder. I then used one Distress Marker colour to create a monochrome ombre effect on the 2 layer butterfly.

Here's a close up ...

Background Builders Lattice also has a digital downloadable paper collection called Modern Lattice available HERE and seen below...

I had to use my FAVE paper from this collection for my next card, the tiny floral paper and kept it CAS to keep in line with the Addicted To Stamps CAS Challenge...

I selected some Soft Stone card stock to use as a mat for the patterned paper before adhering it to the white card base. I left a gap to break up the patterned paper collection and to create space for a sentiment from Time. The die cut flower is a Memory Box die and die cut from card stock which coordinates with the collection.

Now you've seen some NEW projects using this set & digital paper collection how about some oldies but goodies...

As you can see from this card the lattice pairs superbly with the graphic flowers from Time! This next card uses one of the single stamps contained in the set and uses paper piecing one of my FAVE techniques with these smaller stamps...

This card uses one of the patterned papers contained in the Modern Lattice digital paper collection along with the butterfly from English Country Garden digital stamp set and a sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday.

That's all for today using Background Builders Lattice and Modern Lattice digital paper collection. I hope you've enjoyed todays post?! I'll be back again tomorrow with another product focus or two. Thanks for stopping by.

Casual & Pink

Good Monday Morning!

Here we are in the last week of June & closer to the NEXT Uniko Studio release! Yep, mid next week we will see the start of the Sneak Peeks at what will be released on July 11th, not long to wait!

Anyway, until then I have a card to share. For this card I used the current challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays. The challenge this week is to use PINK.

Here is my card ...

I chose to use a BRIGHT pink. Raspberry Fizz from PTI. I kept my card really simple & with no sentiment so it can be used for any occasion that may arise. I used the medium & small graphic flowers from TIME

Short & sweet from me today, much to be done! Thanks for stopping by today.

Felt Flower

Good Monday Morning!

I hope you all had a good weekend. I'm back to start the week with a colourful little card ...

For todays card I used the current challenge colours over at The Play Date Cafe HERE. This is a colour combo I have used a lot but not on cards, I have made many a iPhone case & felt brooch using these colours! I used Background Builders Lattice to create the stamped panel & the sentiment is from Time. I couldn't resist adding a felt flower embellishment & button to finish the card off!

Here is The Play Date Cafe inspiration photo ...

And here is a little close up of the felt flower ...

That's all from me today, I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share. It's a busy time here at Uniko Studio with lots of exciting things happening, be sure to keep stopping by to see what they are!

Thanks for stopping by!

Perfect Combination ...

Welcome back & happy Friday!

Today I have a card to share with you that in my opinion uses a perfect combination of stamps, digital paper & digital stamps! I am biased as they are my designs but I am really pleased with how this combination turned out!!

So here it is ...

To make this card I started out by printing the dashed dot paper from the Joyful Butterfly digital download collection. I then stamped the medium single lattice image from Background Builders Lattice, cut them out and adhered them to a white CS panel.

Before I adhered the panel to the card base I stamped a frame image which is from mftstamps.com and the 'Smile' sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday. I had previously printed various sizes of the butterfly from English Country Garden digital stamp collection, so I coloured it in using SU! In Colour markers, added a bit of Hero Arts Prisma glitter and cut it out. I adhered just the middle section so that the wings could be raised slightly, a few rhinestones to the centre of the butterfly and I was done.

Here is a close up ...

I hope you like todays card & combination of stamps, paper & digital stamps, I'd love to hear what you think & what your favourite shapes, colours & images are to combine on projects!

Thanks for stopping by today!

One for the guys ...

Hey!

It's been a while since I made & shared a card made for a guy, so when I saw this weeks Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger I knew I had to make a 'guy' card!

This is the Trigger Photo ...

I was totally inspired by the colours ...

I started off by stamping the Lattice background un Memento Rich Cocoa & then chose some Copic colours to match the inspiration photo & randomly coloured the Lattice. The clock face and sentiment are from Extra Time

I hope your all having a FAB weekend, thanks for stopping by!

A bit of Mixing & Matching ...

Hey All!

Hope your all having a good week? It's back to work for me after a few days relaxing, lots to get done! Anyway, before I get started I have another card to share using Background Builders Lattice & this time I paired it with the medium & small graphic flowers from Time.

I enjoyed the retrosketch so much this week & as I was making yesterday's card had this card idea in my head ...

I started off by stamping one of the Lattice strips in SU! Basic Grey and matted this to a PTI Autumn Rose card base. I then stamped the flowers in matching ink, cut them out & adhered them to the card using foam adhesive. I used some dew drop bling for the centre of the flowers & doted a few about too for extra measure!

That's all from me today! I'll be back tomorrow with another card or two to share with you all. Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Wishes ...

Hey!

Sorry I have been MIA for a few days. I've been spending some time with my hunny for his birthday weekend & would like to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY for today!!

Anyway, I managed to squeeze in a little inky time while the football was on last night to make this birthday card for him ...

I used 2 challenges for this card, firstly a retrosketch sketch HERE and also the Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge HERE. Below are the two inspiration pictures ...

The last NEW set for my focus which was released last month from Uniko Studio is Background Builders Lattice. I love this set & it has SO many possibilities! I used 2 sentiment stamps from Fontiments - Birthday too. I stamped the lattice in Memento Black ink and coloured the in lattice using 3 Copic colours matched to The Play Date Cafe Challenge. I then stamped the individual lattice stamps coloured them & cut them out & adhered them to the card using foam adhesive. A few dew drops finished the card nicely. A modern masculine card!

That's all from me today, I'm off to spend some more quality time with my hunny as it's his birthday today & while he is off work too! Were off out for pizza & a movie - yum! I'll be back tomorrow with another card using this set combined with a previously released set!

Thanks for stopping by!
