Uniko Sponsors CASology!

* CLICK HERE for my first post today & CAS Colours & Sketches reminder *

Hey!

I am back again today to let you know that Uniko is proud to be sponsoring the new challenge over at CASology this week HERE - YAY!

This week at CASology the challenge cue word is...

And this is how I was inspired by the cue word...

I decided to use a 'pretty' Christmas flower on my card, the 4 step stamping poinsettia along with the holly & ribbon motif from the newly released Jingle Bells clear stamp set. I added some 'pretty' gold glitter to my ribbon tails for the added Christmas sparkle!

I used the SU! Grunge Grid again for my BG, stamping it in VersaMagic Pixie Dust first onto my white CS layer, I then stamped the holly ribbon image in Tea Leaves VersaMagic, but then went over the ribbon lines with a black fine liner as I wanted them to show through the glitter and define them.

The poinsettia is stamped with all 4 layers & fussy cut out, I will be sharing a little tutorial later in the week as to how I stamp the poinsettia & the order I stamp the layers. The sentiment is from Simply Said Christmas, the Stamp Of The Week this week HERE. I have masked the sentiment before stamping it as a cluster rather than the straight line stamp it comes as.

Again I used the CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below for my card, it is such a fun sketch ;)

Anyway, be sure to check out the CASology Challenge HERE & join in, there is a £15 eGift Certificate to spend in store over HERE at Uniko.

Ok, that is all from me today on this blog, I will be back tomorrow with more to share & over on the website blog later with another card using the Stamp Of The Week, Simply Said Christmas. Until next time, thank you for stopping by today.

25 Days Of Christmas Tags with Tracey from 'In My Creative Opinion'

Hey!

Myself, Uniko & the Uniko Design Team are delighted to be joining Tracey from In My Creative Opinion, for the 25 Days Of Christmas Tags event.

For all the event information & link up click HERE.

So, the DT and I have made some Christmas Tags to inspire you, here is my little tag...

I decided to give the outline bells from the NEW Jingle Bells clear stamp set some love.  I stamped  them in Silver Encore ink and embossed them with Stardust EP onto some SU! Pool Party CS. They are fussy cut out and adhered together along with a red solid bow also from Jingle Bells. The sentiment is from an old (soon to be retiring clear stamp set, Jolly Christmas).

Here is a close up of the tag, which is two SU! Tags & Labels Framelits die cuts. The larger is die cut from PTI Soft Stone CS and the smaller offset tag from white CS...

Again, I roped the Uniko DT into joining me for this event & they have produced more awesome inspiration for you, be sure to stop on by their blogs and leave them some love ;)

CAS Colours & Sketches Guest Designer AND a Special Event!

Hey!

WOW! What an exciting day here at Uniko HQ :) There is so much fun to join in on with Uniko 's November Release HERE yesterday (with mini blog hop & chance to win an eGift Certificate) and today I am truly honoured and excited to be Guest Designing for  CAS - Colours & Sketches for the month of November.

At CAS - Colours & Sketches it is a Special Occasion as they are celebrating their 3rd Anniversary with Challenge #150 and there are sponsors too, including Uniko. Uniko are giving you the chance to win a £15 eGift Certificate to spend in store.

This week they have an awesome sketch HERE and seen below for you to try...

With the Uniko November Release all my release day stamps were still on my desk so it would have been rude not to have inked them up some more!

This is what I came up with...

I couldn't resist inking up Labelled Christmas again & this time I opted for 'Merry Christmas', I was feeling quite festive when I made my card too :) I paired it with numbers from Classic Numbers, & December is stamped using the tiny alphabet from Garlands Galore, a lovely sparkly silver die cut frame finished it off.

A Jane of the Uniko DT is joining me in celebrating with CAS - Colours & Sketches as she is also on their DT and has provided you some more inspiration as to using the sketch. Be sure to stop on by Jane's blog & leave her some love...

Uniko Sponsors the NBUS Challenge!

Hey!

I am super happy you have stopped by the blog today, as Uniko is sponsoring another FABulous challenge :)

The lovely Darnell (who recently GD with us) holds a super challenge, here is a few details about it...

Like most crafters, Darnell found she was purchasing new product faster than she was using it, especially when she put it away and then forgot about it! So she coined the acronym "NBUS" to stand for "never-before-used schtuff" and every time she used a virginal item, she called it NBUS in her post.
The acronym caught on in Blogland and now you'll often see crafters comment that they used a "NBUS" product on their creation. To thank her followers and to encourage others to use their NBUS, Darnell started her challenge in 2014. This current challenge is the fifth NBUS Challenge and it runs from September 8-18, 2015.

I am absolutely delighted to be part of this FABulous challenge & sponsoring it, if you take part and join in HERE you will be in the chance of winning

'a Stamp Set of YOUR choice, from the upcoming Uniko September Release'.

Along with Uniko there is an AWESOME collection of sponsors for the NBUS challenge, so be sure to check out the rules & details HERE.

I couldn't not sponsor the challenge & tell you all about it without joining in myself with a NBUS item I purchased recently...

My NBUS on my card is the Pretty Pink Posh stitched banner die & tiny heart die that comes in the collection. I still had my Flower Power #6 stamp set on the desk so gave that one a little more inky love too.

Now, along with the prize for joining in on the challenge I am also going to give ONE lucky comment the chance to win a prize!

Simply comment on this post by the 18th September and I will randomly draw a comment to win a stamp set from the Uniko September Release!

How does that sound? Good I hope! Ok, that's all from me just now, I will be back later today to announce the WINNER of the recent Uniko Challenge. Until then, thanks for stopping by and HAVE FUN joining in on the challenge.

Uniko Sponsors TIME OUT Challenges!

Hey!

I'm back after a few days off celebrating the Beans 1st Birthday yesterday (I will share some photos later this week) to introduce you to a special post today.

Uniko are delighted to announce that we are sponsoring another challenge over at TIME OUT Challenges and there is a £15 eGift Certificate to spend in store up for grabs!

The challenge this fortnight is...

Make Your Mark with an Optional Twist of Monochrome

With the recent Bank Holiday here in the UK and the beans birthday preparations I only had time for a super duper CAS card...

I simply heat embossed the Pure Florals: Cosmos in white and then watercolored them going over the lines with my Zig Clean Color pens.

Deborah is joining me today too and made this super card, be sure to stop by her blog for all the details :)

Don't forget the awesome TIME OUT Challenges DT too, there is tones of fabulous inspiration and of course a Uniko  £15 eGift Certificate up for grabs! All the details an link up can be found HERE.

Ok, that's all from me today, fingers crossed I will find a little crafty time before this week is over! I do have a couple of pre made cards to share so if I've nothing new I will share those instead ;)

Thanks for stopping by today

Uniko Sponsors Freshly Made Sketches 200th Sketch Challenge!

Hey & Happy Wednesday!

Today Uniko is celebrating along with the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge, as they have reached an awesome milestone with their 200th sketch! Normally their challenge is sponsor free, but as it is a special occasion they have asked a few companies to sponsor and offer prizes to the winners.

As you know I love playing along with their challenge, so when Jennifer Timko emailed me and asked if Uniko would sponsor I was honoured. Before I get to the prize Uniko is offering how about a look at the sketch & some samples from me & some of the DT...

Such a simple sketch with so many possibilities, this is what I came up with...

I don't normally buy the kits from the SU! catalogue or anywhere really, but in the new one they have a few which come with nice objects like the Tin of Cards kit which has a gorgeous striped tin & filing system to keep your cards in and I couldn't resist the Hello Life Simply Created Kit either as it comes with a wire frame to hang on the wall and clip creations & inspiration to. Anything to make the new studio pretty :) More on these & a look see another day!

Anyway, the reason I have waffled on is because I have used a few elements from both the kits on my card! From the Tin of Cards I cut into one of the note cards which has a diagonal stripe to it in Bermuda Bay, I then die cut the scalloped edge using my Mama Elephant dies. I then tied some Basic Black Bakers Twine around, securing with a bow also from the kit. This is adhered to the card base using foam adhesive.

I then stamped the outline bloom & leaves from Beautiful Blooms II & fussy cut them out, adhering them with DST. To finish the card off I added the sentiment from A Gift For You and 3 little die cut hearts from the Hello Life Simply Created Kit.

A few of the DT were able to join in on the fun & created a project using the sketch, be sure to pop by their blogs for a closer look and inspiration...

This fortnight the challenge is a photo inspiration challenge...

Say Hello: Perk up your home with a friendly welcome sign. For an added boost, choose a bright, funky color. Source: Instagram user decorame

The TIME OUT Challenges team have done a wonderful job of interpreting the inspiration HERE and I also created another card to share with you all...

Again I was inspired by the large 'hello' in the photo, but this time round I used a Mama Elephant die. I was also inspired by the green and floral cushion, hence my colour choices and use of florals from Background Builders: Vines.

After stamping the flowers and letting them dry I added a good amount of sparkle using my Wink of Stella pen and then adhered the panel to the green card base using foam adhesive.

Ok, that's all from me today, I had better dash before the beans wake up from their nap and want their tea! At least they are napping this afternoon as yesterday they refused to and I had two cranky babies until they went to bed!

Thanks for stopping by today & I hope you find some TIME OUT to join in on the challenge :)

TIME OUT Challenge #3 & Uniko Studio Sponsorship!

* This is my first post of the day, the next Uniko Studio product introduction post will be live at 9am GMT *

Hey!

It sure looks to me like you're all having FUN with the TIME OUT Challenges, so many wonderful entries over the past 2 weeks for the last challenge.

We are back today with the next fortnightly challenge & this time it's a themed challenge with a twist!

* The THEME is Happy Birthday with an optional TWIST of Masculine *

For all you Uniko Studio fans out there you will be happy to hear that we are sponsoring the challenge this fortnight & there are TWO prizes up for grabs for TWO lucky entrants! The prizes are as follows:

For those who enter the challenge & use the TWIST you could be in the chance of winning a £15 Gift Certificate to spend on the website.

AND

The overall winner of the challenge will receive the Today, Tomorrow & Always Time Clear Stamp Set & Matching Designer Dies Graphic Flowers From Time.

This stamp set & matching dies are perfect for the challenge and so I used them to create a couple of cards to inspire you...

For my first card I decided to use the smallest Graphic Flower and matching die along with a mix and match sentiment from A Gift For You and All Occasion Sentiments #2. I decided to use the current Dynamic Duos challenge colours seen HERE and below to help my mojo along!

I started out by die cutting the 3 graphic florals into a layer of Melon Mambo card, I then temporarily adhered the layer to my card base to be able to line up and stamp the coordinating graphic flower in Hawaiian Shores. After stamping the sentiment I then adhered the panel to the white card base using foam adhesive and finished the flowers off with a matching rhinestone.

I decided to make one more card using the same stamp set this time using the optional twist of a masculine card...

For this card I decided to use the current ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below to help me along.

I started by stamping the cogs along the left hand side of my white card base using SU! Tangerine Tango ink. I then stamped the pocket watch image onto a white card panel measuring 8.5 X 14 cm in Bermuda Bay ink. The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment is stamped in Hawaiian Shores onto a little strip and mounted to the layer using foam adhesive. I added a few Pumpkin Pie candy dots (as I didn't have anything Peach Parfait small enough) and mounted the layer to the card base using foam adhesive.

OK, that's all from me just now, be sure to visit the TIME OUT Challenge blog for all the details and to see what inspiration the rest of the Design Team and Guest Designer have for you. I will be back again today at 9am GMT for the second Uniko Studio April Release product introduction AND it's a good one - a NEW fave of mine!

Until then, thanks for stopping by :)

Crisp!

Hey!

I've a BONUS post for you all today as this week Uniko Studio is proud to be the CASology sponsor. So I thought I'd join along with the challenge & share my interpretation of the cue word which is ...

This is how I interpreted it...

A lovely crisp & sparkly doily snowflake! I love snow, we don't get a whole lot here in the UK but for the last couple of Winters we have had a bit. I love the crisp crunch as you step in fresh snow that has laid & the crisp wintery air.

I stamped the doilies with silver pigment ink & heat embossed them with my favourite stardust embossing powder. Be sure to pop on over to the CASology blog HERE to enter the challenge & see how their Design Team interpreted the cue word. And of course there is a chance to win a £15 Uniko Studio Gift Certificate!!

My earlier post HERE also features some crisp snowflakes of the Washi tape variety! Thanks for stopping by again & enjoy the challenge :)
