I Spy ...

Hey Friends!

Happy Sunday to you all, I hope your all having a lovely weekend. I'm back today to share a card I made for a new to me sketch challenge blog. I was blog hopping about the other day & came across I Spy Sketches.

I saw this current sketch HERE & seen below & knew I had to play along!

The clock faces from TIME & EXTRA TIME were calling to be used for this sketch!

Once I got started piecing the card together once the clock faces had been stamped and punched out the cogs in my head started turning & I think you'll be seeing this LO again, possibly some TIME soon! Lol!

Short & sweet today, but I'll be back again same TIME tomorrow!

Butterflies & Doilies

Hey!

I'm back today with a neutral card featuring butterflies & doilies, another perfect combination! In my eyes anyway!

This card was super easy! I used Decorative Doilies The Hands of Time & stamped one of the doilies in Fresh Snow in onto a Kraft CS base. I then used my Sizzix Circle dies to die cut a 1 5/8" circle & swiped the Fresh Snow ink around the edge & then adhering it to the centre of one of the doilies. The butterfly is a SU! punch & I used some October Afternoon paper from  my scrap pile & added a few pearls down the middle of the butterfly. The sentiment is from FONTiments - Birthday.

Here is a close up ...

I'm off to CCAD print club today to screen print some of Uniko Studio designs onto Tote bags, looking forward to going back to the college & using the print rooms & catching up with friends!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Glittery Polka Dots

Hey!

Hope your all having a lovely weekend?! I sure am! Yesterday was a lovely sunny day here in the North East of the UK so to make the most of it I went for a bike ride with my hunny and MIL to be around the Tees Barrage. It's a lovely riverside ride and has a nice cafe for lunch too which is a bonus and reward for cycling!

I then spent some time in The Studio inking up Uniko Studio stamps and making a few cards I've been wanting to make! The card today is one of them ...

This card features one of the coloured polka dot patterned papers from the Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time digital download papers. They are available HERE from the website. I knew when I designed them back at University that the dots had to be glittered like this!! It is time consuming but not hard. I just used my quickie glue pen and Hero Arts prisma glitter - I LOVE that stuff!

I kept the other embellishments simple just a layered punched butterfly with a button and some rhinestones on top of a looped ribbon. The sentiment is from FONTiments - Birthday. I've taken a close up photo below of the layered butterfly and glittery polka dots ...

That's all I have to share with you today! I'm off to enjoy my last day of being 32 by watching the F1 and spending time with family. I hope you all have a lovely day whatever you are up to! I'll be back tomorrow with a scheduled post, so be sure to stop by!

Thanks for stopping by!

Playing With Paper ...

Hey All!

I'm a little later than usual today with my post, I apologise for that. I took a day out yesterday with my former part-time college friends to a local historical house for some chatter and inspiration looking at lovely vintage furniture and textiles. Therefore I didn't make it into the Studio until today to make a couple of samples.

So without further ado here is my first card to share with you all ...

Today I am focusing on using the Modern Lattice Digital Downloadable papers available from the Uniko Studio website. I LOVE the designs in this collection, even if I do say so myself! Lol! The ditsy floral patterned paper that I have used in this first card is my FAVE!

This card was super simple to make after cutting my card base from SU! Sahara Sand CS I then cut a panel of patterned paper the same width as the card base but only 7.5 cm in height. I then trimmed the patterned paper at different intervals on an angle. I then adhered then to the card base using my glue pen leaving a gap in-between each piece. A simple sentiment from Fontiments - Birthday & a cluster of buttons finished the card off nicely.

This next card is also super simple too and uses another 2 of the patterned papers from the collection. I used the butterfly punch from SU! and another sentiment from Fontiments - Birthday. If I received this card I'd SMILE!

I have one last card to share with you all today ...

On this card I have used 2 more patterned papers from the collection to make the flower which is die cut using a Sizzix die from SU! The sentiment is also from Fontiments - Birthday

I hope you have enjoyed the projects I have shared today & that it has inspired you to use patterned papers in a CAS way! I'll be back tomorrow with the last Uniko Studio product focus from this release. Thanks for stopping by today!

A bit of Rock & Roll ...

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, I'm back today with a few cards to brighten your day & which focus on another product that was released this weekend over on the Uniko Studio website HERE.

Today, I decided to focus on Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time. The solid doilies in this set lend themselves beautifully for the technique 'Rock & Roll'.

Here is my first card ...

This colour combination of yellow, white & grey is still a favourite of mine. For the doilies on the bottom edge of the top mat layer I first masked off the top section with some post-it notes I then inked the stamp with SU! Summer Sun & then rolled the edges in SU! Pumpkin Pie. Repeating the process until the section was covered.

I then used a Sizzix Circle Frameabilities die to die cut the circle before stamping the doily inside the die cut circle. The sentiment is from Extra Time and I part stamped the sentiment. A bit of satin ribbon (PTI Summer Sunrise) and a few rhinestones on the single doily & I was done!

I enjoyed the 'Rock & Roll' technique in these colours I had to make this following card ...

This time I used the slightly larger solid doily & kept it slightly off the matted square. The sentiment is from Fontiments - Birthday and I first inked it with the SU! Summer Sun ink then inked the top & bottom edges slightly with SU! Pumpkin Pie. This card has such a lovely Summer feeling to it!

After these two cards I wasn't quiet done & had a few more ideas floating round my head so I have a couple more cards to share!

For this card I cut the panels and then laid them on my stamping area & stamped the doily in black Memento ink as I knew I wanted to colour them in with my Copic markers. It was a slow process to colour the doilies in as the stamp is fairly small but I love how it turned out!  I stamped the sentiments from Fontiments - Birthday, tied some white cord & added a matching coloured rhinestone to each doily to finish the card off. The panels are adhered to the card using foam adhesive.

For this last card I used the same doily as in the first card I showed today. I stamped and created a mask using some Eclipse masking paper. It was definitely a fussy slow cutout but I am really pleased with how it worked. I started off by stamping the pink doily & masking it before I stamped the blue & yellow doilies. I repeated the process in the lower left corner but decided to leave the pink off.

Again, the sentiment is from Fontiments - Birthday. I kept the sentiment panel fairly simple & used the Ek Success punch in the same way as I did for the card HERE.

Well, thats all I have to share for you today and I hope it has given you a few ideas as to how this set can be used! I'll be back tomorrow focusing on another product released this month!

Thanks for stopping by!

Joining In ...

HaPpY Thursday!

The title of this post relates both to the inspiration for this card and also relates to the reason why this post os over an hour late to my normal scheduling!

I'm behind schedule as I decided to see what all the 'hype' was all about with The Hunger Games! I didn't understand the trailer I saw the other day at the Cinema as I had never heard of the books or film. So, I thought I'd get the books & read them on my iPad, so last night I started the first book & couldn't put it down! I've even read a few chapters over my breakfast.

I'm not a BIG reader of books but enjoy reading when I found a good book & I think these will keep me entertained for a while!

Anyway, onto my card for today. I'm joining in on the ColourQ fun ...

I was drawn to these lovely BRIGHT spring colours and had to join in & use them! Here is my card below...

I used the medium & small graphic flowers from the Time set along with the sentiment. Such a simple card would brighten anyones day up! Here is a close up ...

I've used one of my many brads for the centre of the flower, why did I hoard so many brads? It'll take me years to use them all! Anyone else have that problem?!

It's another sunny day here in the UK so I am off to do some work in the sun got to make the most of it while it's here!

Thanks for stopping by today!

How about a Challenge Giveaway!

I love butterflies & decided to use some Uniko Studio digital patterned paper to die cut them from using PTI's Butterfly Dreams die & a Martha Stewart Butterfly punch. I used PTI's Parisian Doily die & stamped a clock face from Extra Time in Smokey Shadow ink & the clock hands in Ranger Archival ink. I used foam pads to adhere the butterflies up the edge of the card & added some black & red rhinestones for some extra sparkle!

You might be wondering what Uniko Studio digital paper I have used for my butterflies if you keep reading you will find out! LOL!

Today's blog post!

Happy Thursday! I'm running late with my blog post today as I was out of the Studio yesterday catching up with my college friends for chatter, food & inspiration!

Anyway, onto today's card ...

Again, I have used what seems to be becoming my favourite paper from the Time & Extra Time digital paper pack! You can purchase the papers HERE. The sentiment I have used is very fitting for me with regards to blog posts as I have been LATE with them a few times! I am also very good a forgetting peoples birthdays!

I have used some PTI Hawaiian Shores CS to really make the paper POP. I used the Fiskars Threading Water punch for the looped edges & some lovely Sea Green Rhinestones. The sentiment strip is adhered to the card using foam pads.

So, did you notice the countdown in the sidebar on the blog??!!

The countdown has begun to the next sneak peeks for the next release of Uniko Studio Stamps & Digital papers!! The peeks will start on the 15th April with the reveal of the stamps & goodies on the 20th with you being able to purchase them from the 21st April from the Uniko Studio website!

Peeps Rocking Uniko Studio Stamps!

Warning! Long post you may want to grab a cuppa before you start reading! LOL!

Oh my, it's Wednesday! This week is zooming by, which is good as I'm looking forward to a weekend of friends, food & crafty time!

This weekend Kerry & I are headed down South to see our friend Wendy at The Stamp Attic. Along with spending time with Wendy enjoy cake & food we will also be both demoing in the shop in Saturday! Kerry will be working wonders with Copics and I will be showing people some fun stuff with Uniko Studio Time & Extra Time stamps!

Anyway, onto some eye candy! If you haven't checked this BLOG & this BLOG out before I highly recommend them! The first is The Stamp Attic Blog, Wendy has a FABULOUS design team who show an array of projects from CAS to grunge & all those in-between!

The second is Ruby's Blog, who is part of The Stamp Attic's DT. As The Stamp Attic is stocking Uniko Studio stamps Wendy passed some along to Ruby & just look ... such wonderful projects.

Hop on over to Ruby's Blog to find out the details of both of her cards.

Someone else is still enjoying & getting the most out of her Uniko Studio stamps & that is Gayatri!

Gayatri has paired Uniko Studio stamps with some other FAB supplies & you can check all the details about it over on her BLOG! I'm loving the mix & match of all the patterns plus I love the colour combo too!

There was one other fab thing about this & it the sketch, Gayatri gave the heads up about a NEW Sketch Challenge Blog that has just started. You can check it out HERE, it's called Retro Sketches. So I thought I'd have a play along too using some Uniko Studio stamps!

This is the sketch for the challenge ...

And this is my card ...

I started off by using PTI's Ric Rac Die to cut some scraps of Summer Sunrise, Hawaiian Shores & Raspberry Fizz CS. I adhered these to a mat layer of Soft Stone & White CS which is then adhered to the base layer using foam pads.

I then used my Sizzix Framelets Flower dies to cut the 3 smallest flowers. I then stamped the medium graphic flower on each flower using co-ordinating colours as the ric rac die cuts. I used a pearl brad to hold them all together & adhered to the mat layer using foam pads.

I used a SU! punch to punch out the sentiment once stamped & adhered this also to the mat layer using foam pads.

I love how you can achieve a whole new look just by using a few other crafty supplies such as dies & punches with your stamps to create a diverse range of projects!

Phew! Thats it from me today! I'll be back tomorrow though with another project! I hope that you have found some inspiration today!

Thanks for stopping by!

I Just Wanted to Say ...

Thank You!

It's only been 3 weeks and already I feel LOVED! The blog here has reached 50 followers and Facebook 44 so I wanted to say THANK YOU to all that are following me, commenting & enjoying what Uniko Studio has to offer!

I'd LOVE more followers and for you all to keep spreading the word about Uniko Studio! But for now I am happy and I will tell you a lil bit about the card I have made today.

This is a cute little 4 1/4" square card. I used Soft Stone (PTI) CS which is a great neutral. It's not too grey and not too white so it's just right! LOL! I stamped the 3 circles image onto the base card using Versamark ink which gives a lovely subtle background detail. You can just about see this on the lower left of the card in the photo.

I then stamped the clock face from the Time set in Black Memento Ink and used my Copics to colour it in. I just did simple one colour colouring with no blending but just alternated the colours in the clock face. The clock face is simply cut out by hand and layer onto a 1 3/4" circle punched from Hawaiian Shores (PTI) CS.

I then used a frame paper punch from Fiskars {I think} and punched one from white & one from Basic Grey CS. To get the white frame inside the grey frame I simply cut each of the punched pieces in half and layered the white frame just inside the grey frame. I then used double sided tape to adhere the clock face  to both sides of the frame.

The whole piece is then mounted onto the card base using foam pads & then I stamped the sentiment below in Memento Black ink. Simple, but effective and another way to stretch your paper punches a lil further if they aren't quite big enough!

I hope you have enjoyed todays card and you are inspired to have a play with paper punches & stretch them a lil further!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check back tomorrow to see who the winner is of the stamp set from the blinkie giveaway!
