Merry Monday with Rustic Christmas

 Happy Merry Monday!

Another late post from me, but I had to share this fun festive card I finished this morning. I managed to photograph it before the good light started to fade this afternoon.

I've been wanting to use both these products since they came back in stock a while back. For the Kraft card background I used the Stencil - Christmas Folk Snowflake and inked through with Wheat ink.

I then trimmed a bit off the top and bottom to adhere to a Cranberry card base before adhering my focal Christmas Tree from Rustic Christmas

I stamped the tree in Parsley ink and then added the baubles using black for the string & bow and Cranberry for the bauble. I decided to keep the front sentiment free and finished off with a simple star enamel from my stash.

A simple, yet classic Christmas card. What do you think?

Countdown to Christmas Day 13 - Stencil Sunday

 Hey & Happy Sunday!

There was LOTS of excitement here yesterday as Santa came by our road on wheels! Yep, he drove by on an open top bus to wish all the children a Happy Christmas 2020 style. It made up for us being in a high Covid tier and not being able to do so many of the usual festivities with The Beans this year. Here are a couple of photos I took as I know many of you enjoy seeing and reading about what they get up to.

With that excitement I was feeling festive too and as I am without an oven until Tuesday (fingers crossed) I wasn't able to do any baking today, so I made todays Countdown to Christmas cards early ;) I've really enjoyed using all my Christmas supplies and as well as reaching for the NEW products, I have been dusting off the older ones too.

Today, I had a card layout in mind and I used it for both cards but simply switched the stencil design and the colours. First up I gave some fresh inky love to Stencil - Scandinavian Christmas.

For some reason I always reach for red or white to ink up this stencil. It is certainly a favourite and with the detail in the pattern the card doesn't need much embellishment. I did however ink through the stencil with a clear embossing pad before removing to heat emboss some sparkle!

I used a wavy scalloped border die (Mama Elephant I think) to create a detailed edge along the red sentiment layer and I gold heat embossed the Season's Greetings sentiment from the NEW Christmas Wishes clear stamp set.

Next I inked up the Stencil - Let it Snow and used the exact same card layout and just switched up the colours to my 'go to' snowflake combo!

I love shades of Aqua / Turquoise for snowflakes and I used Altenew Aqualicious for to ink up the snowflakes. Again, before removing the stencil I inked over with a clear embossing pad and used my Stardust embossing powder to add some sparkle.

I also heat embossed the Let it Snow sentiment, another from the NEW Christmas Wishes stamp set. This sentiment set is packed full of festive sentiments and combinations.

That's all from me today, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Today is 'homework' day for The Beans! We have a few options to choose from, but they have selected to make a Santa's workshop. Well, in their words its a Goomba (character from Super Mario) and a Caterpillar workshop!

Thanks for stopping by & have a lovely Sunday.

SURPRISE...October 2019 Release Available NOW!

Happy Saturday!

I'm popping by to share the news that the October 2019 Release is available NOW to buy HERE on the website. After the popularity of it last Saturday at Happy Stampers Festival, I simply couldn't wait any longer to release it on the website!

So instead of my usual sneak peeks and introduction posts, I shared a post HERE last night on the website, with a card for each of the products being released. We will still be holding our traditional Brand Ambassador Blog Hop on Saturday 26th October, with a GIVEAWAY.

Until the Blog Hop, I will be sharing more about each product on the website blog and I am sure you will see peeks of all the products around the Brand Ambassador blogs as they each receive the goodies in the mail!

Anyway, how about a look at the new products. This month there are three clear stamp sets, two coordinating designer die collections to previously released clear stamp sets, one stand alone die which coordinates with a previously released clear stamp set and one new stencil design.

First up a look at the clear stamp sets...

Background Blocks Scandinavian Christmas £5
Copyright Uniko Ltd 2019

First up I have a new addition to the ever popular Background Blocks series, Background Blocks Scandinavian Christmas. This yummy design is based on the previously released Uniko Stencil Design, Scandinavian Christmas. The pattern features images and elements from popular clear stamp sets such as Background Builders Vines Winter Additions, Peace on Earth, Rustic Christmas and Rustic Wreath. This in turn will add so many more possibilities to your Christmas and Holiday stamping.

Festive Sentiments Outlined £10
Copyright Uniko Ltd 2019

Next I introduce you to Festive Sentiments Outlined. With the popularity of Sentiments Outlined released in July this year, it seemed like a no brainer to have a festive version. Along with some pre built sentiments in this set, such as 'Let it Snow' and 'Season's Greetings', I have added lots of individual sentiments for mix and match opportunities. AND some sentiments can even be used all year round.

Season Of Beauty £16
Copyright Uniko Ltd 2019

The last clear stamp set for this release will no doubt be my go to set for my Christmas card making this year, Season Of Beauty

Season Of Beauty features a modern layering poinsettia style flower, large and small wintery foliage and a trio of sentiments. Though the main focus of this stamp set was designed purposely for Christmas, it does lend itself to all the other seasons. And I will be showing you how to achieve different looks from this set in the coming days :)

Next I introduce you to the two Designer Die collections which coordinate with previously released clear stamp sets.

Designer Dies BIG & BOLD Snow Collection £9
Copyright Uniko Ltd 2019

Just like the previously released BIG & BOLD Happy and BIG & BOLD Wish Designer Die Collections, BIG & BOLD Snow features a die to cut out the word snow and a shadow die to layer with it. There are dies included to match the snowflakes and snowflake swirl in the clear stamp set too. Having the dies to match creates so many more fun possibilities.

Designer Dies Winter Foliage Collection £8
Copyright Uniko Ltd 2019

Winter Foliage is still as popular now as it was when it was released a few years ago. These coordinating Designer Dies Winter Foliage have been a long awaited and will be an invaluable addition to the clear stamps and my Christmas card making this year!

Now the next Designer Die is a stand alone die and one I couldn't resist adding to this release, Sparkling Snowflake. Though I have designed it to stand alone on Christmas and Winter themed projects, it does coordinate with the previously released and ever popular Stunning Snowflakes clear stamp set.

Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake £9

This beauty of a die is my favourite design from Stunning Snowflakes and it measures 10.5 cm from point to point across the diameter. It's BIG and it certainly takes centre stage when used on a card!

Lastly for this release and by no means least I have a new Stencil, Winter Foliage.

Stencil Winter Foliage £3.50
Copyright Uniko Ltd 2019

This was designed to coordinate with the Winter Foliage clear stamp set and the new coordinating Winter Foliage Designer Dies. Plus it has familiar imagery to Background Builders Vines Winter Additions, Rustic Christmas and Rustic Wreath.

So there we have it, the October 2019 Release. I'd love to know what your favourite product is and what is making its way into your shopping cart or wish list!

That's all from me today, but I will be back in the coming days with more to share using these new products and don't forget to join us on the 26th October for our Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

CAS Colours & Sketches #212

Hey!

It's time for a new challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches. This month we have the lovely Jane as hostess and Jane has one last wonderful sketch challenge HERE for us to spark our creativity...

Feel free to flip or rotate the sketch & don't forget to keep your creation CAS too ;)

This is what I came up with using the sketch...

I couldn't resist using my new current favourite from the recent Uniko release, Uniko Style! I am simply in love with these modern blooms ;)

I've used Altenew inks to stamp the blooms, as I love how the colour families are perfect for layering stamps. I'm really pleased with the Spring fresh look I have achieved with the little cluster of blooms. How I long for some warmer and brighter days...

I'm in need for a few thank you cards, so I selected a sentiment from the retiring Label Love: Thank you clear stamp set. Before adhering my panel I rounded the corners to keep in with the roundedness of the blooms. I also adhered the largest bloom with foam adhesive for a little dimension.

Anyway, be sure to check out all the Design Team inspiration HERE on the CAS Colours & Sketches blog and I hope to see you in the gallery :) Challenge End Time: 6:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time/11:00 p.m. London U.K. time Monday, March 6, 2017
